Bangkok – 27 January 2012: Thailand Industrial Gases PLC. (TIG), a member of The Linde Group, held a stone laying ceremony for its new air separation unit (ASU) at Hemaraj Eastern Industrial Estate (Map Ta Phut). TIG will invest THB 3.5 billion (about EUR 78 million) in its third plant which will be capable of producing 800 tons per day of liquefied gases.
Managing Director, Keerin Chutumstid stressed that the new ASU will significantly increase TIG’s capacity and reliability to better serve existing and potential new customers in the electronics, steel, petrochemical, chemical, food & beverage, and medical sectors across the country. The plant will also reinforce the long-standing position as the leading industrial gases company in Thailand.
He added that the new plant reaffirmed our commitment to continually enhance our supply and service capabilities to ensure that we are well-positioned to support the growth of our valued customers.
TIG’s third ASU will be the largest ASU in the country once it is commissioned in September 2013.
